Replitrons: A major group of eukaryotic transposons encoding HUH endonuclease.

Copy-and-paste mechanism. The transposon has short tandem repeats at its end, inserts a short copy of its downstream sequences in the new copy, and creates an even shorter duplication of its insertion site.
