CRISPR-Cas12a target binding unleashes indiscriminate single-stranded DNase activity.

DNA Endonuclease Targeted CRISPR Trans Reporter (DETECTR). Cas12a activates a single-strand nuclease after matching its target double-strand DNA. A single-strand probe terminated by a fluorophore and a quencher signals the activation.
