Optimized flow cytometric analysis of central nervous system tissue reveals novel functional relationships among cells expressing CD133, CD15, and CD24.

“On two occasions with papain and three occasions with TrypLE, we saw free-DNA aggregation even in the presence of DNase I, indicating substantial cell lysis. We could not definitively determine the cause of this variability. Two additional papain and one TrypLE sample could not be properly assayed by hemocytometer because of DNA aggregation and so were discarded. Accutase and Liberase-1 never generated free DNA aggregates.”
